The Tony Elumelu Foundation is set to reveal 3,110 young entrepreneurs from all 54 African countries on March 22, as part of its ongoing effort to boost entrepreneurship across the continent. Spearheaded by billionaire Tony Elumelu, the foundation’s initiative aims to provide selected entrepreneurs with $5,000 in seed capital, comprehensive business training, personalized mentorship, and access to a broad network of global investors.
Since 2023, Ernst & Young has managed the selection process for the Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Programme. This programme seeks to catalyze job creation and poverty alleviation by supplying budding business leaders with the tools and resources needed to scale their enterprises. Participants will also receive training in business management, artificial intelligence, and green economy practices.
The Foundation’s work underscores a commitment to fostering innovation, resilience, and economic empowerment across Africa.
