South African fintech startup PayJustNow has reached 2.5 million users for its buy now, pay later (BNPL) services. The company, acquiring 100,000 new customers each month, was founded in 2019 and trends as a prominent option for shoppers to divide payment into three instalments without interest.
The service, initially inspired by the Australian BNPL model, caters uniquely to the South African market. PayJustNow was acquired by Weaver Fintech, a division of Homechoice International, in 2022. The company operates with over 3,000 merchants integrated across 10,000 points in South Africa, pushing the service’s accessibility and appeal.
