Injini has announced the third cohort of its Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, selecting twelve South African startups for a program designed to enhance educational technology in Sub-Saharan Africa. The fellowship offers participants grant funding, product evaluations, skill development, mentorship, and market access. This initiative, a result of a partnership between Injini and the Mastercard Foundation, aims to improve educational quality, accessibility, and relevance in the region.

Founded in 2017, Injini operates as Africa’s only ed-tech specific accelerator, tasked with improving educational outcomes. The latest cohort includes startups such as EduFeArn, Edulution Learning, Edutech Institute, and Huddle Education. Others like Keller Education, Limu, and OLICO Maths Education are also part of the program, alongside SchoolAdvisor, Thuma Mina Teaching, TechWays, and Thooto.

The fellowship aims to address urgent needs in South Africa’s education system, such as teacher training and infrastructure improvements, while supporting startups in expanding their market reach and enhancing their business sustainability.
