The Federal High Court in Abuja has rescinded its previous order that halted the suspension of Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan by the Senate. Justice Obiora Egwuatu made the decision on Wednesday after evaluating the arguments presented by both sides involved in the legal proceedings.
The original suspension had been paused due to an ex-parte motion filed by Akpoti-Uduaghan in an attempt to prevent the Senate Committee from enforcing the suspension. The latest ruling reinstates the Senate’s authority to proceed with its disciplinary actions against the senator.
