This initiative includes a sensitisation program directed at educating local communities, particularly focusing on wives of community leaders across Bauchi State. The goal is to enhance understanding and acceptance of the MR vaccine, which plays a crucial role in preventing both measles and rubella.
The move is part of a broader strategy by the Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Board to address the disease’s endemic status and reduce the incidence of these contagious illnesses. The campaign aims to safeguard public health and prevent future outbreaks by increasing vaccine coverage and awareness.
