The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has certified four companies in Gombe State under the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) to produce Plaster of Paris and electric poles. The certified companies are Maja POP, Habbos Nigeria Limited, NCCE Limited, and GAN Electrical and Technology Services Input Limited.
This move is part of SON’s effort to ensure that products from these companies meet the required standards for safety and quality. The organisation has also issued a caution regarding the dangers of faulty electric poles, stressing the importance of adherence to established standards in preventing accidents and ensuring the safety of the public.
This certification aims to improve product reliability and consumer safety while promoting quality standards in essential infrastructure materials.
