The Nigeria Customs Service has announced a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that will allocate 4% of its annual wage bill towards community-focused projects. This decision, effective immediately, translates to the equivalent of half of one month’s salary per officer contributing to the fund.
The initiative is designed to support and finance socio-economic development programs, with an expected positive impact on local communities across the country. By redirecting part of its wage budget, the Customs Service aims to enhance its social contributions and foster better relationships with the public it serves.
