In a significant political shift in Edo State, 17 out of the state’s 18 local government chairmen have left the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). This mass defection was formalized at a gathering held at the New Festival Hall within the Government House.
The only local government chairman conspicuously absent from this political migration was the acting Chairman of Oredo Local Government, Harrison Izekor. This development marks a substantial reconfiguration in the political landscape of Edo State, potentially altering the balance of power in favor of the APC.
