The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has officially denied opposing the recent petrol price reduction initiated by Dangote Refinery and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL). This clarification comes in response to allegations made by a former presidential aide, suggesting that IPMAN was against the price cut.

This price adjustment by major stakeholders in the fuel industry aims to provide some economic relief to consumers amid fluctuating global oil prices. The denial from IPMAN ensures that there is no perceived resistance within the domestic petroleum market regarding efforts to slash fuel prices for consumers.
